Wet lab supervision and training — ESCRS 2025
The “Simulation Training Lab” at ESCRS 2025 offered a practical framework dedicated to learning and improving surgical procedures in cataract surgery. Dr. Arthur Hammer participated as a trainer, actively contributing to the supervision and transmission of his expertise to surgeons in training.

The culture of mentoring: transmitting surgical expertise through surgical simulators
“The transmission of skills is one of the most rewarding aspects of medical practice.
Having myself benefited from the support of inspiring mentors during my training, it is now a real privilege to be able to contribute to the training of the next generation of surgeons.
A big thank you to Dr Ivo Ferreira Rios and to Oftalmo University for the excellent organization of the ESCRS Simulation Training Lab 2025.
